Run-off Vote

Associations will hold run-off votes when no candidate earns enough votes during the first round of voting. Run-offs ensure that the final winner has enough support from the members to count as a majority vote. Most run-offs only include two candidates to face off against each other. This produces a clear and decisive outcome, although it takes more resources to run an additional vote.
