Re-election
Re-election is when a candidate runs for a position they already hold. If re-elected, they’ll keep that position again for another term. Most associations’ bylaws have rules around re-election, including term limits and how long a member is allowed to hold a single position. Re-elections usually focus on a candidate’s record and future plans. They also allow members to continue a candidate’s role or replace them with someone with a different vision.
