Association

An association is a structured group of people who come together for a common interest. It’s a specific type of professional, trade, non-profit, or community-based organization. Every association is different, but they all offer benefits to their members, including networking, professional protections, advocacy, and resources.

Most associations operate under a set of bylaws, which control their governance practices, activities, and membership. A board of directors often leads these associations, which conducts elections to elect the board and make decisions.
