Referendum

A referendum is a direct vote where all eligible voters can accept or reject a single proposal. Associations will sometimes hold a referendum to push through bylaw changes outside of their typical election seasons. This allows associations to stay agile and react when unexpected industry changes happen. The outcome of a referendum is usually binding, meaning the association must implement it.
