Eligible Voters

Eligible voters are members who meet their association’s criteria for participating in an election. Most associations’ bylaws specify these criteria, which can include age requirements, membership in good standing, or geographic requirements. However, not all eligible voters will participate in an election, so associations have to work hard to ensure eligible voter engagement. An association’s systems must also allow all eligible voters to participate and prevent accidental disenfranchisement.
