Union
A union is a collective of workers with shared goals. It works to advance the interests of these workers through collective bargaining and negotiation. Unions can have a lot of sway over workplace policies, although they require organized leadership to be effective. Unions rely on elections to appoint a board of directors and to gauge members’ needs. The goal is for the union’s policies and demands to accurately reflect workers’ greatest needs.
