4 Easy Steps for Online Voting in Union Elections
1. Check the Bylaws: Make sure that your constitution and bylaws allow for online voting. Also check any other union-specific election rules for information about nominations, voter eligibility, and candidate qualifications.
2. Build the Election: Using one of Survey & Ballot Systems’ online voting platforms, build out your election ballot with ease. Tailor the ballot to fit exactly the type of election you need—whether that’s a bylaw vote, board member election, or contract ratifications.
3. Notify Eligible Voting Members: Notify members at least 15 days before the election of when voting begins, ends and how to vote. Email reminders are a great option to encourage participation during the election.
4. Report Results: Publish the results for each office promptly after the election.
