Communication is key in associations, and elections are an important part of that. Associations were early adopters for online voting and hybrid elections. Offering members the option to vote via paper, online or by phone meant members had the flexibility to use their preferred platform. And that in turn maximized election engagement and participation.
Today, associations have added social media to their engagement tools. Utilizing social media prepares members for events, training, and networking opportunities. But it’s also essential to modern election participation. Social media creates reminders and encourages participation, especially among younger members.
